[FR] Landlord doesn't inspect/fix broken objects

FR = For Rent.

Question is if something breaks outside of the event and you call him, does he do stuff or not. It's more about what's  the actual bug here. If it's event causing the landlord to react this way, it's the event but if it's something generally happening when something breaks, then the event is just a part of the issue :D

Ok so the event is what broke the oven. So it is directly.. After event was done it stayed broken. I tried to make the landlord interact with it both in the event and after. BTW nothing else was, is broken! I think I have the save with the event ongoing. Will that help?

EA will ask for saves if they need them. At this point it's not necessary.

This is also an issue for me. If there’s a broken appliance and the property owner comes over, he just mops puddles and takes out the trash for hours without fixing the thing that is broken.

To find the bug make sure you live in a residential rental with no real landlord, it has to use the NPC landlord that is used for unowned rentals. Once you ask the npc landlord to inspect an item (doesn't matter if it's shared space or not) the landlord, if the interaction succeeds, will show it via the relationship gains being positive, BUT the landlord sim does not get the Do Inspection and Maintenance interaction, because the interaction requires the sim to be the property owner, which the npc landlord is not, so the interaction never gets queued up, even if the hidden buff "adds" the interaction to the landlord. It just doesn't go through. But if the sim does own the property, it goes through easily and immediately fires up the interaction on the picked object.

This has been happening since For Rent's launch.

do you still need save files for this? because i have a useless landlord who nods when i ask him to look at broken stuff and then does nothing. i shouldn't have to pay to replace shared-space objects.

p.s. it happened both with and without an even trigger. event was a gas leak explosion except it flashed in my kitchen, but a grill outside got burnt. I had to cheat-break my oven, and then repair it for the event to go away, although i had to pay for the grill myself (had to cheat again because she didn't have enough money).

The second time with no events is the water heater who exploded. I asked the landlord again to look at it, and he nodded, and this time just straight up left the lot (instead of talking to plants and taking out the trash).
