[FR] Maintenance Troubles on Residential Lot: Can't do required task

Can confirm this is still an issue. My stove/grill allegedly keep exploding but they are in perfect working order and now I can't access build/buy for 24 hours.

Has anyone been able to find a workaround fort this? It’s such a cool feature that really makes a lot of difference on how fun and unexpected playing The Sims 4 can be. If only it worked on residential lots, not just apartments.

Bug Description:
During active use of the "Maintenance Issues" lot challenge (from the For Rent expansion), the "Explosive Incident" event triggered incorrectly. The event requires repairing broken appliances, but:

• No actual malfunctions occurred (stove and all other appliances remained functional)
• No grills or similar explosive-prone objects were present on the residential lot
• Build mode remained locked for the full 22-hour event duration
• Event objectives could not be completed

Suspected Cause:
Improper event activation on a regular residential lot (not a rental property) while the "Maintenance Issues" challenge is active

Reproduction Steps:

1. Activate "Maintenance Issues" challenge on a non-rental residential lot
2. Wait for "Explosive Incident" event to trigger
3. Observe lack of broken appliances
4. Note build mode restrictions despite no repairable objects

Technical Details:

• Expansion: For Rent
• Lot Type: Regular Residential (non-rental)
• Platform: PC (Steam & EA App)
• Mods: None

Severity Impact:

• Blocks normal gameplay for 22 in-game hours
• Prevents build mode access without cause
• Creates impossible event completion

My spellcaster just became a land lord, and during a maintenance event, i cast repario on a broken appliance. The spell broke the event. I got a notification saying i couldn't complete the even even though the appliance is not broken. I took out my mods folder to test it again. Same issue. Mods aren't affecting this. I waited for a second maintenance event to spawn, and the same thing happened. 

For some reason, the maintenance event does not acknowledge repario as a valid way of fixing the appliance, and the entire event fails because of it.

Still having issues with maintenance troubles trait after update. Example: explosive maintenance nothing explodes, everything is fine no broken ovens. It will at least complete the task if you cheat and break an oven then fix it.
