Front door changes

There’s a super annoying bug in The Sims 4 where the front door keeps resetting by itself. You manually set a 1-tile-wide door as your front door—because that’s the actual main entrance—but after a few in-game minutes, the game randomly switches it to a 2-tile-wide door in the back of the house.

This seems to happen especially when your house is built on a foundation and has both a 1-tile and a 2-tile door. The 1-tile door leads to a fenced balcony with stairs going down, but the game might assume it’s not a proper entrance because it leads to a balcony first, even though it’s fully functional. Meanwhile, the 2-tile door leads straight to a staircase without, so the game decides that one should be the front door—even if it’s at the back of the house.

No matter how many times you reset the front door, it changes back again, breaking immersion and messing up things like where guests arrive, where deliveries go, and even how your Sims enter and exit the house. It’s like the game ignores your layout and insists it knows better.
