Frozen game/menu after ad

I've been having this same issue. It would happen about once a week at first and a restart would take me into game. Now it's taking multiple attempts (since purchasing Hobbies and Businesses.) The X has never done anything; I've never been able to x out of the ad. I have all packs from the beginning through My Wedding Disasters, then bought Growing together and nothing since until H&B).  The X doesn't work; the screen goes dark then the ad pops up again. ) I'm no tech genius, but it seems the easiest fix is for EA to knock off the full page ad when adverts are everywhere else in the bloody game.
