Game bugging out, have to force quit

Since the previous update, but still present with the current update too - game will suddenly get stuck and I cannot click anything or save. If in x3 speed then it gets stuck in x3, even when paused it is still showing movement on the screen as if the time is x3. It is not limited to x3 mode though as it is also happening on regular x1 speed. It lets me click on build mode but not do anything else - the scene is still running in the background in build mode too. Cannot cancel tasks or reset sim. Cannot save or go to manage worlds. Have tried everything on screen to try rectify - only way to fix is to force quit via my computer and then restart the game. This is happening regularly and interrupting my game every time I try to play. 

I have also tried fixing the game via the EA app twice.

Please help
