Game crashes and bugs after the update of April 16th, 2026 on PS5

I've been having all of these issues too on the PS4. The crashing while saving one I've only been able to avoid if I save my game every 20 minutes and it still sometimes crashes.

For me it doesn’t matter fast I try to save, it crashes with every single save. So no possibility at all to save which makes the game unplayable at the moment.

I’m so glad I came here… I thought it was only me. I have to go through all 120 add ons every time it restarts! It freezes constantly so I have to do it multiple times. I just gave up on it and it isn’t even noon yet! It’s crashed 4 times today . So frustrating!

Same here.  Very disappointed in EA in releasing something with such massive issues.  Did anyone bug test it?

I feel they are doing this on purpose! How have we had years of playing Sims 4, AND NEVER had any issues with this??? UPDATE in March, I had Arabic instead of English!! EA is horrible!!

This is exactly what brought me here too. My game is completely unplayable. I'm on the ps5, so the excuse that its the introduction of mods doesn't fly. Its just crashed 3 times in 5 minutes. I also have the awful experience of the overwhelming guilt and shame of having every single kit, pack and  expansion etc thrown in my face every time I log back in to the game. Which I absolutely hate as I have all of the expansions and most of the other stuff lol. 

Please ea this really isnt fair. How can we play our games again? I'm about ready to try and get my.money back for all of this as its completely 100% unplayable 

I will add though, that I was already having these problems and was really hoping this new patch would fix them. 

Does anyone know if un installing the game and not re downloading business and hobbies is known to fix this? I'm sure ive read that this is the main culprit? 

I went online to try to fix the issues on my PS4 and basically I was told it's the marketplace that's causing the majority of the problems.
