Game crashes when taking screenshots

Same thing is happening to me and I have no mods. It's only been since the most recent update. Also, the memorial pictures (the ones with flowers from L&D) aren't displaying anymore when my sims die.

485460​  Your graphics driver is several years old and has been crashing.  So please install the newest one AMD provides for your processor and graphics chip:

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart afterwards and before trying to play.

If that doesn't help, try switching to DirectX 9 mode.  You should be able to play in DX11 mode, but this is at least a useful test.

Bibliophile2019​ LadyDarkSorrow​  Please try DX9 mode too, just to see whether it works.  If it doesn't, I'd like dxdiags from both of you as well.  LadyDarkSorrow​  I know I have a recent one from you, but if EA is looking into this issue, it will be helpful to have your dxdiag attached to this thread.

puzzlezaddict​   Sims 4 been rock solid from bios update.  took screenshot/crash.. have dx11 log.  you want it? . as you requested , testing dx9,  crash on load game. 2nd time loaded, took 75 screenshots without problems. went back to dx11, game loaded without issues, screenshots working atm.

Hi This is Dinky 21b I am having the same problem too this happen straight after the update this has nothing to do with graphics

This happend within 5 mins after the update it's fresh and EA know it

Temp fix when playing left Tab Key then press the "C"  button for now it will have to do until they will fix it I have reported it  with a case number ? just a waiting game now but be warned crashing like can harm the PC

puzzlezaddict​ I’ll keep this in mind. I downloaded it but while installing it said my computer ran into a problem and restarted. I see a friend on Sunday who is more tech-savvy than me so I’ll explain the issue to them. I’m just a bit worried if I touch anything I’ll break more lol.

I haven’t switched to DX9 yet but I’m not in much of a hurry to play, so I’ll test that if installing the new graphics driver doesn’t work.

Dinky21b​ Thought it could be related to the update. Although I will say, about the fix, screenshots in tab have been causing problems too. Maybe that’s just on my end.
