Game crashing since July 2025 update on PS5- version 2.15

I have the same issue and when I was ce playing on my ps5; it crashed on me today. 

Im having the same issue. I'm on ps5. I can play for a little bit and then it crashes. If I try save it also crashes sometimes during the saving process. Bad enough we have all these other issues to deal with but the game is definitely unplayable with the constant crashing. Having to re do the same thing over and over again is beyond upsetting. 

Im so glad is not just me. It isn't consistent at how long it will let me play my game before it crashes, but it will eventually crash always!  And its been happening constantly since the update in July. I am not even able to participate in the Natures Calling event. Whenever I click it on the home screen it doesn't even open the event. I have a feeling they are a out to focus less on Console simmers and eventually just make the Sims 4 a PC game. 

Now the 2.18 version on PS is having an issue where I just get booted back to the residential worlds screen. Can’t enter any household without an error message popping up about relaunching the game due to an error loading. It is beyond frustrating for console users

I came here hoping to find a solution to this. I’m having the same issue. Every time I try to save, my game crashes.  Forget trying to travel or open CAS. It’s unplayable. 

I've found that the crashing occurs when playing on ps5 a save that was created on ps4. Saves created on ps5 seem to be fine. I've tried making a new save on ps5 and downloaded my legacy family from the gallery, as well as their house, and game crashed. New save with new Sims and house, no crashing. I don't want to loose my legacy family and everything I've built in the game before getting ps5 :C

Scabei​ I wish this was my problem. All my saves are only PS5. Still have the issue. I'm glad it seems you've found an answer for your game play. I still hope it gets fixed soon so you get your legacy back.

Nozladi i tend to go into cas to trigger autosave as like you said travelling sometimes crashes mine sometimes crashes b4 auto saving when travelling but i did delete all burglar alarms from lots and touch wood its stopped crashing when saving there's a premade lot in adventure awaits with a burglar alarm which is why mine started up again 

mumofharry​  so I should remove burglar alarm from premade lot in Gibbi Point? I found one. Is it just one? I will remove the burglar alarm now. I don't have one in my home. I have burglars turned off, so that's good. lol 

Nozladi the crashing when saving started when they put in burglars and i had a burglar alarm in the house i was playing my game would crash every time i tried to save i removed the alarm and i could save again to test the theory i then put the burglar alarm back in and it started crashing again i removed it and it never crashed again then it started again when adventure awaits came out i was really confused so i went to every lot in gibbi point and there's 1 lot with a burglar alarm i removed it and no crashing i don't have any burglar alarms in any lots 

Unfortunately mine has started crashing again today while trying to save so its not burglar alarms as i thought which is strange cos as soon as i removed them it saved fine now my game is unplayable is there anywhere else we can raise this issue because this thread is being ignored 

I was going crazy having to redo days over and over and over again. My game literally crashes after 30 mins. I'm so annoyed. It took forever to get my sim through University. 

Mine is crashing literally all the time and I’m loosing so much and having to re do it nothing seems to be working I even put my ps5 into safe mode and cleared stuff and it still done it didn’t do it for two days then started again it’s so annoying now it’s unplayable 

Sometimes I can play for hours and hours without issue. Other times, like today, I can barely get through one action before the game crashes and I have to reload everything. I've spent hours loading the game multiple times today, and maybe 15 minutes total on gameplay, all of which I've lost. After sinking so much money into this game, it's seriously irritating that I can rarely play it. It happens with every save attempt, so I've lost all progress today. It also crashes when I try to travel, which is a requirement for the current rewards event. The game also freezes regularly when anyone interacts with an infant. The only way to unfreeze is to save, which crashes it. Why do I even bother at this point? I've read creating a new save can help, but then what's the point of the game at all if you have to abandon it every time you make progress? So frustrated right now! 😭

I have burglars disabled and no burglar alarms. I don't think that's the problem. Maybe it just adds to the issue.
