Game freezes after leaving build mode

If I go to build mode anything I add to my house or work that is done disappears when I got back to live mode. Once back in live mode my game stays on pause and even when I click play it’s still frozen. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. Once it goes to the freezing point even when I try to go back to the main menu it just continues to load but never truly loads.
