[LS] Friendship/Romance Neighborhood stories happening turned off

Hi, sorry I should have included that information in my original post. I tested it with and without mods (bug still occurred), and I play on PC

Are the romantic changes the only neighborhood stories you get ? Do you get notifications for them  ? NS are the ones you read about when you click on the mailbox. There's a few other things that can initiate changes.

Also having this issue. No mods or cc or anything. Have all set to deactivated in settings. 

My straight male sim is in a relationship with Johnny Zest which happened through neighbourhood stories while I was playing with a different household. Very annoying.

Did you have a neighborhood story text about it ? 

No I get others but an insane majority are those two, despite those being the only ones I have turned off. They are absolutely neighborhood stories pop ups because every morning i click on the mailbox on check neighborhood stories and that's when it gives me the notifications.

Thanks for verifying. There are so many different mechanism in place now for neighborhood changes that I needed the confirmation that you clicked on the mailbox.
