Romantic Changes in Neighborhood Stories ignore sexual orientation

It's what the title says. This is from the lovestruck expansion pack. When I enable romance changes in the neighbourhood stories. Sims keep getting in a relationship with the same gender,  ignoring their gender preference. This is nothing related to mods it's just how it is. Multiple other of my friends had the same problem that do not use mods. I have of course tested it without mods and nothing changed. For example, my sim who is only attracted to females, got in a relationship with a male when I temporarily switched households. And all of the townies that I created ignore their gender preference. I'm wondering, when will this get a fix? I didn't pay for this expansion pack to turn the whole town into a gay town.

Same thing happened to me, I received a message that two of my male townie npc's started dating even tho both of their preferences are set to women only.

I thought it was a bugged message so I went to check and play as that townie and they really were in a relationship.

It also happened on Love Day if that matters.

  • Same. It keeps happening to me as well. Oddly, I've not had this happen to any female sims, just the male. It's annoying.

Is this going to be actually addressed, or just...ignored? I'm tried already of going in and deleting relationships that are messing with my save.
