Game not functioning since new update

Hi, I updated my The Sims 4 today and I am facing many problems in the game. The Sims stats (aspiration, relationships etc.) cannot be opened. The Menu button does not work and I cannot save and close the game. Only possibility is to enter to Edit the worlds where I can make a save but the screen is all black. Then I have to shut down the game via task manager.

I am not using any mods. I also tried to repair the game in the EA launcher but it did not help.

same . teens simology is only showing parenthood stuff and now only letting me click needs i deleted all my mods and everything . wouldn’t even let me leave . get this game fixed or nobody’s going to play . even getting glitches where i have to pause my game to click on a sim and they just keep freezing ! GET IT SORTED !!!!!!

Me too… 😭 I had plans to purchase the new pack and play tomorrow but I have changed my mind about that. 

I can't use my build mod, gallery or change world tab wheb my mods are in. This is crazy completely mess up my game 

New update I have no mods no cc nothing and my game is broken since update yesterday menus don't work I'm stuck on build mode I can't get live mode options window will not open i don't understand why this is happening when I have every game and have rebooted computer and repaired game started playing again same thing happened 

Game loads, until I open CAS. I am either stuck on a laggy loading screen for hours...or if I directly open the game to "new game" so I can open CAS that way, I get a white screen. have force quit the game multiple times, origin too. Have clicked on repair like 2 times, restarted my computer but still nothing.

I don't know what to do anymore, I have cc but it has never been a problem before, I bitterly was playing the game 2 days ago without any problems (except the usual ones). After downloading the update I can only play the game with very slow loading screens.

Having the same issue! I noticed it only starts happening when you click the Simology tab at the bottom right corner. If I don’t click that then the game is fine, EA NEEDS TO FIX THIS PLEASE!! 

Same here! Since the update on 24.07.24 the sims panel don't work anymore on any sim in my household after flipping through my teens panel. No taps regarding work, relationships, skills pop up anymore. Just the needs tap still works on every sim. Also I can't use the menu to exit/save/etc. the game. I just tries it once, but traveling didn't work too. After confirming the travel destination just a black screen appears with a few want bubbles in the middle of nowhere. I do not use mods, so this cause can be excluded.

It's very annoying. 

Don't feel as if you have to buy a pack/expansion etc in order to have a playable game, granted once EA/SIMS team releases a new patch to patch what they broke your game will be playable again. If anyone tells you from dev crew or EA that you need this or that to have playable game, they are lying and want your money. Every expansion comes with its own perks and gameplay changes that are applied to your current gameplay, with that mentioned, your can disable unwanted packs.  Patches are nothing more than adding new content to game that doesn't require purchase of addons. Be patient and let the dev team panic working out the solution.. for them Time is money and unhappy players are possible money lost.
