First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

I am having this same problem. I have mods and CC. I had to turn them off in game for it to work
My game totally broke after the July 23rd update, I do use mods and CC but I have never had anything glitch out or caused this big of an issue before. Typically I can just update and go in and make sure all the mods are either out of the file if they're outdated. But I always update my mods However this time around all the Sims in my game are missing, or unable to load. All of the user-face is missing, the right side where all the skills, needs, is completely missing. On the left bottom side where my Sims face, moodlets, and whims is, are all missing. All the middle part that shows time and weather is all missing . The only thing that shows is the money in the account, and the rest of the bar is pretty much empty down there. When I load my sims house, all the build/buy items load perfectly and I'm able to see all the custom content still in the home, but still in live mode ,the Sims are missing as well as the userface is all missing. When I try to start a brand new game, with no mods or CC it's saying game failed to launch and it's giving an error message. So even if I remove the mods and try a new game the same thing is happening. EA please please look into this ! Thank you
Lot's of new spectators came on here to report this issue, including me. The game is completely unplayable. I have to force end task to get it to close even.. I hope it's fixed soon, our Sims NEED US!!! 😥
on the Menu screen you can click on load game. I just tried and the game is now working for me, my game is now playable again.
edit: it's still doing the weird thing with the character values as some others have mentioned
After I updated my game, its been unplayable.
- none of the panels at the bottom work except for "needs", and "simology" (which is broken for teens and children.)
- The tabs on top have the same problem, so i cant open the Menu and thus cant save or exit my game.
- One of the only tabs i can open is the "manage worlds" tab, but if i click either "save" or "just go", my gameplay screen just turns black but the game is still going. Nothing happens after this.
There have been other minor issues, but these ones make the game unplayable. Ive removes all my mods, repaired my game and restarted both the EA app and my computer multiple times.
Im also not able to download the Lovestruck pack even though nothing seems wrong.
Hope this is fixed soon.
My game is completely broken. I can open up the game, but once I am in, I can't click on any of the panels, the phone, settings, gallery, etc. The only thing I can click on is the manage worlds button, but when I attempt to go to manage worlds, I get stuck in a black screen. All mods are disabled, so there is nothing that should be interfering. The only answer is that EA simply released a game breaking update. I'm super annoyed seeing as a new pack was meant to come out today. I'm so tired of giving this greedy company money just for them to continuously screw us over like this.
While playing in my saves, all the pop ups wont open when I ckick them, Including the pop up for options and closing the game. Simology and needs open sometimes but not always. In simology the parenthood bars are glitching, keep changing form red to green and flashing the up and down arrows.
I am so tired of updates breaking this game. I have remained quiet for too long, I am issuing EA this WARNING! cease releasing UNTESTED patches and NEW GAME CONTENT, or I will cease buy any more stuff from EA period! I am former IT specialist and I have supported software development, and this is UNEXCEPTABLE! 24 hours and no hot fix for software your people broke!!! I Refuse to buy any more of you packs for sim 4 Because they bug out the game and make no fun to play! HEAD my word this MUST stop, or we are through! I am tired of waiting for months after pavls release for the bugs to be fixed and you busy make more BUGGY content instead of patches!
