First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

I’m on console and the game is progressively getting worse. My game went from crashing once a day to now it crashes every loading screen. The gallery is buggy, the sims stopped responding to commands for a good 10 minutes and now to top it all off I can’t even load into the game without the loading screen freezing
i have a sims world with 4 played households, and i don’t want to just start a new world. i load into the game, make a few interactions, i try to cook, and then the game just bugs. i can’t pull up the cheat bar to reset sims, i can’t pull up the save menu, my cursor disappears, and i can’t go to manage worlds, when i click manage world the screen just goes black and i’m forced to close the application. i along with help from EA chat support have tried troubleshooting this issue, and nothing seems to work. this all started with the new update.
I'm playing on a mac, and after this last update (july '24) the game play works for a few seconds, then control is gone. My sims keep moving, but I can't click on anything in the game or the menus. If I wait several minutes, (up to ten) it will catch up, but it is unplayable. I hope they fix this soon!
Hello! I would love to try to solve the issue, as I had this problem but I fixed it, do you have any mods installed and are you on pc?
I just updated and now I can’t use it with Mods. It loads to the main screen, but it doesn’t show what mods are installed. Instead every time it loads up I’ve got a pop up from the new love struck game pack and if I try to close it out it freezes and I have to force quite. I’ve dismissed this pop up like 20 times without mods loaded and it still pops up and freezes the game. This happened the last time they added content and the only way I got it fixed was to buy literally every game pack I hadn’t yet so it would stop having pop ups about content I should buy. Now I own it all but I’m still got pop ups on loading. I wish these pop ups would stop.
I cant enter EA OR SIMS ! it wont launch, i even updated all my mods (which i only have MC command.) They need to fix their game!
I am having a lot of bugs with this patch lastest patch as well. The shift click menu doesn’t have all the option it should even without mods in, when talking to other sims they keep leaving and some of the things I queue up just end up resetting and canceling out, traveling to any lot spawns sims with you as well even at your house, etc. it’s so bad.
I'm on PS4. Have every pack except for a handful of the kits and Batuu. I played yesterday and the game was working about as well as it always does. But today I opened it up and the game us not working how it should.
I tried to use play with genetics in CAS, but it would not let me change what I was creating (child - sibling or parents for example) or select the sims they're related to. There were three randomise buttons down the button instead of two and all of them just said "wwwwwwww". When I cancelled out it deleted the sim I currently had selected.
That annoyed me so I figured I'd just build, but anytime I select something, like the beds or the terrain tools for example it would move the cursor out and nothing would show up where typically furniture would appear. On top of that when I opened the cheat menu and used motherlode it immediately deselected the cheat menu and I had to exit the game (which then proceeded to crash when I selected exit to main menu)
I closed the game fully and started it again hoping that it would work after closing it but it didn't. I didn't play Live mode, was too frustrated with Build/Buy and CAS, but I'm guessing there'd be something game breaking there as well considering how awful everything else is behaving at the moment. I've had issues before with console, things deselecting and me having to close the game to fix it, or something else that needed me to close the game to fix, but never anything nearly as bad, nor as constant as this.
With the latest update, I am having problems when a sim or sims move from one house to another, for example after getting married. Furthermore, it has happened to me that after leaving a certain family and saving, he waits for a long time until it shows me the neighborhoods again. Greetings and I hope for a quick solution
