First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

The same thing with me... its so frustrating. Mine freezes immediately after logging into the game... your cant change yhe panel only thing that "works" is the play and pause button...
After the July 2024 Patch, my Saved/Legacy family has become unplayable. When I click on "Relationships", "Needs", etc., nothing comes happens (i.e., no needs box comes up, no relationships show up, no work/school box pops up, etc.).
When I click on the ... button at the top right of the screen, to Save or Exit, etc., nothing happens. When I click on Manage World, I get a black screen--but the Map never appears.
The only way to exit the game is to open up the Task Manager and End Task.
I updated all Mods (the only mods I play with are: MCCC, UI Extender, Zerbu Change Venu, LMS School Holidays, xtml Injector) and when that didn't solve the problem, I removed them. I also did a "Repair Game" on the game. There is no "cache" folder. The other one (cachstr) is the spotlight en us package.
I tried adding my mods back one at a time, to see which one was causing the issue. Every single one seemed to be causing the issue, which was when I started to fear the problem was my legacy family, so I tried loading an older save -- and no issues. Everything runs just fine with or without Mods.
Anyone playing a legacy game will understand how frustrating it is to lose your legacy family to a weird glitch right after a game patch. Help?Same for me, cant save or even build anything. It says game loading in progress.
So EA practically forced me to get the update, since NONE of the 'play offline' features work 100% of the time. Just for the update to totally break my game. Why in the world did I pay my good money for something that I actively can not play anymore?

I updated the new Sims 4 update last night on my PS5, and the game is unplayable now. To start the game up it takes forever to load. Once in game my cursor shows for about 15 seconds then it disappears,making it impossible to select anything from that point on. I can’t open CAS as the screen just remains black and never loads. I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t use any mods or CC so yeah…
My game has crashed multiple times too after I installed the update. I can't click on anything. Can't even save my game or exit properly. 🤦🏻♀️
Same as for everyone, I cannot open many options for each sim, cannot even save and close the game...
Same problem. Tried yesterday and today. Can play normally for 5 minutes before everything freezes
My game totally broke after yesterdays update. It freezes after a minute, removes stuff from my inventory etc etc. Tried to restart the game a couple of times only to realize a lot of people experience the same issue. The game is unplayable.
This has happened to me aswell. All of my icons have been switched and mean different things. There is this weird screen when i open up a relationship. Also i had a 3 hour game that had randomly closed and did not save. I am so dissapointed.
