Game not functioning since new update

any updates on how to fix? I am also currently having this problem.

I am having a similar problem, although I play with mods I am thinking of deleting them because the mods load at the beginning of the game but two days ago became inaccessible while playing. 

This update broke my build buy.  Things even available in base game do not come up in catalog even if searched.  Rose bushes and other things I know I have and I can only get them now from the gallery.

Also search can leave me in an infinite spin wheel where I have to force quit and restart.  Infinite loading screens I have also experience since I got the latest lp.

Crashing and going to world map asking me to restart has happened since the first love struck patch,  and not happens when prompted events like a romantic partner wants to take me one a date spontaneously,

I just noticed my sim is having problems with the baking skill ( same one that had problems with resumed knitting projects ).  She will put stuff in the biwl and mix it up  then stop.  When I try to have her resume she waves over her head like she can’t reach it. Nothing is in the way, and I changed the counter, but she is still waving, she can clean it up when I press that action though.  I have tried with a free things, cookies, brownie, rice crispies ( she is only a level 3 or 4  baking ).  When I get in my game next I’m going buy another stove and replace the old, see if that fixes anything.  She can make things from the gourmet cooking skill that does go in the oven.  I noticed this after she cleaned a counter, don’t know if that had anything to do with it.  She has 10 cooking and 10 gourmet cooking, so I thought I would work on baking and canning.  I use no mods or CC in the Sims 4, I never have.

Same, but I have nearly every pack available. The sims 4 is running my gaming pc to its limit since the lovestruck update. I am still having crashing and finding new bugs every day. They issued a bug list that they are working to fix but the list was lacking imo. I play a lot. It’s frustrating to say the least. Glad to hear you can turn off the rental pack features to avoid the issues. 

I hope the new team will come up with more fixes for the latest EP, ASAP! In my opinion the player should always have the option to turn off features and gameplay in the game especially if EA is adding more DLC to the game every year after the 10th year of the game's life. Right now, if I buy anything for this game it will be on Sale! I'm only investing in kits at this point it's a shame.

Icons glitched, no dialogue opens including to save the game or quit, so my game is currently unplayable. From removing mods and CC to reparing to clearing the cache, uninstalling, reinstalling and starting a new save, nothing works and without saving, what is the point? 🙄

Same and i updated and deleted so many mods but nothing works :/

After the recent update my game does not work. I can open the house I want to play from the opening menu, but I cannot switch characters, or interact with objects. When I try to exit the house to view the town the game just stays on the loading screen and doesn't go further. Also, I have to end the game through task manager to exit. The game wont close when I try to close from the game menu; it just stays on the loading screen... Why is it that EVERYTIME they do an update SOMETHING doesn't work.. The game was working fine, then they do this update and now I can't play my game. It's frustrating for me/people who don't have much free time to play; I finally get a chance to log in and BOOM- UPDATE... Now the game doesn't work.. WHY?! 😭😭
