First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

I think everyone has some type of bug from this newest patch. You are not alone this is messy.
I'm not having any problems with traveling, building or saving. CAS is broken.

I am having this exact issue!! I do not have mods.
Anyone else sims will go to school and you can’t follow them? Or that you can still see their inventory. I have 4 teenagers and two went to school and were greyed out the other two wasn’t. They also won’t go to their after school activity? The off to cheer and the go to activity won’t work.
I was hopping they fixed it before the new pack came out… or at least adress the situation!

SECOND UPDATE:
so I tried it in a different world. It was the most recent world I was playing with before the update sabotaged everything. My older game was fine however this one, which is more important to me, was broken like it was yesterday.
So my older saved games are fine it seems but my most recent is in shambles :(

When I downloaded the newest patch for the sims, I was excited for the newest updates and additions. However, as soon as I went to resume my last played game, it completely crashed. I can't open any of the panels for inventory, careers, simology, etc. because they bug out and freeze the game or turn the screen black. The same thing happens when I try to do anything on the phone. I also can't access the game menus, so I end up having to force quit through task manager every time.
