Have been playing OK since Lovestruck though did get some minor bugs such as multiple welcome wagons and some lots not loading. But then it got worse. Had added a new lot and put a new sim in it and while the game seemed to save when I returned my new sim was gone. I first thought it was the lot, then the sim, but when I next played an older family I realized the game was not saving at all. I do not have any mods and play on PC. I repaired my game and deleted the local thumb cache file and copied the save file to my desktop. Now I need to go back and try to play and save. I did notice there was a crash two versions back in the file so I don't want to lose those older saves by playing too much. I'm too tired to play again and worried I will lose the entire save.

Follow up. I went back to the version before the crash (had to delete two saves), renamed the save and was able to get back into game and it saved. Hallelujah!
I spoke too soon. Returned to game, did not play much, but the family that did not save was back to the same spot they were stuck at before despite the fact that when I played earlier they had been saving. I am trying an even earlier save.
Decided my OneDrive backups were part of the problem. I disabled them but had not finished backing up so still on this plus my desktop looks awful. Wish I'd never gotten OneDrive.
End of story I lost that save. It was a new one I started when I got Lovestruck. Amazing how much you can do in less than 2 weeks. My fresh save works fine (the save as did not), so I'm in the process of transferring my favorite files and lots from the broken save to a new one. I lose relationships and inventories so am sad but my OneDrive is now turned off. The files are still there and my desktop is missing them but the two I use most (email and a Sherlock game which did lose all the saves) are on my taskbar.
