Game unplayable as of 8/3/24

I was having this same issue even after removing all mods. repairing game and deleting localthumbcache. I loaded a different save file/family to see if the issue happened again and it didn't. So I recovered my previous save file of the family i was having issues with and it was working normally. I would try to recover an old save file and see if it works! You may lose some progress but at least you can play your family. :)

My game isnt working either. I cant even see my sims whim thought bubbles anymore, and there is no option in gameplay game options. 

I have the same problem. I can't switch between sims easily unless the game is paused for some reason. sims won't do anything i tell them to, idle animations keep playing when i'm in build mode and items i move just disappear. i also disabled mods, but that did nothing

I have the same problem, ever since the update before the one in August it completely ruined my game. I can no longer play for more than 2 mins before all of my sims pause not doing anything and I can only switch between sims when I pause the game. It sucks that it’s taking forever cuz I’d love to play again.😕
