My game was functioning relatively okay after the recent update, until today. All of a sudden I can only switch between household members once upon launching the game, and cannot have them do anything when I do. My game endlessly loads when trying to go to manage worlds, save the game, or close the game, meaning I have to force quit. I play with some mods and CC, but these issues persist even after removing them, deleting my localthumbcache, repairing my game, and restarting my entire computer several times. I've seen a couple other people talking about these issues here, but I have no clue why this would have started 11 days after the 7/23/24 update. Beyond frustrating.
I was having this same issue even after removing all mods. repairing game and deleting localthumbcache. I loaded a different save file/family to see if the issue happened again and it didn't. So I recovered my previous save file of the family i was having issues with and it was working normally. I would try to recover an old save file and see if it works! You may lose some progress but at least you can play your family. :)
Thank you for the tip! I just tried this, but unfortunantely I'm still having the same issues.
