Game Won't Load- Menu Screen Grayed Out

Every time I get an event pop up, when I close it out, the screen is grayed out and frozen, it's unusable. I then have to pull up task manager to end the task and try to restart. I have removed mods, cleared cache, repaired the game. Nothing works. This happened last week during event pop up but eventually I got in so I assumed it was a one time glitch. However, I have tried 5x today and I have still not been able to get into my game.

I have a work around and I have to do this every single Monday when they put the ads out. I try to open it won’t load it grays out, I have to force stop remove all mods and cc repair the game, open just to close the pop up then I can add everything back and play as normal. Mind you I already have all packs! Stop with the pop ups it’s causing issues and if it keeps taking all this time to open my game I will just stop playing. It’s too much especially when the problem is clearly caused by pop ups that are trying to SELL MORE STUFF that won’t work!
