I have been playing the acting career and sometimes it will not allow me to complete a task. Example: I clicked on the hair and make up chair and it was not even an option to interact with it. Another example is when I started to perform it would not let me interact or even click on one of the lit up x's

When going to an acting job, the first tasks such as hair and make up, getting changed and other interactions can be completed. As soon as you tell the director you are ready, the crosses on the floor of the stage do not highlight and you can't click on them to do the acting task.
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- What platform are you playing ?- Status changed:NewtoMulti Report

As for the other issue: Please create a new thread. Make sure you provide all the info such as which platform you are playing on, if you tested this with multiple Sims or if you just have it with one. Also copy/paste the content of any LastException files you get with this (+ make sure to delete the localthumbcache file after removing mods/cc.
