Greenie Meanie Apothecary Cure Ineffective

As mentioned in another post, requesting fairy dust from fairies forms a romantic relationship. My sim asked for fairy dust from Elric Demury and a romantic relationship formed.

Elric randomly showed up at my sims house angry. Inspecting Elric, I saw that he had the greenie meanie ailment. I had my sim create the cure at the apothecary table and give it to Elric.

After being cured, Elric remained angry an initiated a fight with my sim. They now despise each other and their relationship bar is fully red.

In game, just now, my sim was on a date for Love Day with a plant sim. While completing date interaction progress tasks, the plant sim became angry.
They have compatible romantic preference and the plant sim is attracted to my sim. I was running a flirt interaction when his mood meter went all the way red.
I believe this issue is tied to what happened with Elric Demury. When a romantic interest suddenly becomes angry without a malicious trigger.

there's another thread on angry Sims but before I merge them, couple questions:

Did you check the Sim if the ailment was gone too or was it just the still being angry that's the issue ?

Did the plant Sim also have the ailment ?

The ailment with Elric was gone. He was still angry after.
The plant sim did not have the ailment.

seems unrelated then. Merging this with the thread on Sims constantly being angry.
