After a sim dies and Grim reaps them he doesn’t leave. Resetting the sims involved doesn’t help and the only thing that gets rid of him is adding him to family then deleting him or removing from household. However he should just leave after reaping a sim.

He does stick around a while sometimes but then should leave.
How long did you wait ?
I’ve left him stood there for several sim days before eventually adding him to my family and removing him that way.
Smellie_Ellie So he was stuck and didn't do anything ? Did you get the tombstome ? Which world are you playing in ?
He was just stood next to the tombstone, when I moved the tombstone he stayed in the house stood where the tombstone was. I currently play in Chesnut Ridge.

Do you have any smaller farm animals like mini sheep/goat or chicken ?
It happens every time someone dies. I don’t have any farm animals either so I’m not sure if he’d do the same then.

The animals sometimes get the reaper stuck if they are dying at the same time hence the question :D
I will have to try on another save file tonight to see if it happens across all save files.
I’ve just tried on two different save files and he goes after a few in game hours which I expect.

Maybe it's something about the lot then or does it happen on all lots on that other save ?
Could also be a problem with the reaper itself.
I’m not sure what’s fixed it but it hasn’t happened after two deaths on the lot in Chesnut Ridge 🤔

Hi,my dog died and grim reaper came but he never left even when i turn off and turn on the game and even after upadates he is still there.I tried to play thinking he will leave and my second dog died and Reaper did nothing he stayed in place and didnt take him.So he is just standing there whatever happens and i dont know what else to do.

Ever since i downloaded the life and death pack, when my sims die, grim reaper wont collect the souls. He shows up on the lot and just stands there. When i click on him, i cant beg him because it says the reaping hasn’t started. But i never starts. Every time i have to debug the person who died but then he just dissapeares and i get no urn and i cant have a funeral. They cant be ghosts either. What can i do to fix this?
Same thing happens to me, grim wont reap and i have to debug the person/pet that died. I dont get an urn

Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache, repair your game and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.
