Adding my voice to this. I am playing a save on and off, with aging off. The child sim has been a child for many "sim years" and has completed nearly all the aspirations and many formative moments. She has a great relationship with her parents and friends, but throughout her childhood, she has had neutral confidence. It doesn't matter how much her parents encourage her or how much success she has, her confidence level never changes.
