High school Years Prom Event is completely Missing

I'm choosing to log a new bug for this as I saw from previous bugs listed were bugs of still being invited to prom - but not necessarily being able to attend. 

I bought high-school years expansion pack about 1-2 months ago and there's no interaction with prom whatsoever. No wants, no sentiments of missing it, no invites, no calendar listings - nothing. To be concise, I've never experienced prom since purchasing that pack. Not to mention, never been able to attend a career day or graduation day successfully either - but that is a bug for another day. 

In addition, I've done research and seen that this has been an issue for longer than 3 months now.

1. I've started a new game, 
2. I've ensured that "Allow romantic invites and requests" & "Allow friendly invites and requests" are enabled
3. Never CC or Mod

Platform: Mac

1. I've Deleted these safe-to-remove files/folders:
   • localthumbcache.package
   • cache
   • cachestr
   • onlinethumbnailcache
2. I've started a new game (again) and I've moved the family directly into Copperdale, but before starting a new family after deleting the files listed above, I had various teen sims, on various files.
