Infants not being changed at changing table when a trash can is connected

Exactly what it says in the title, after some testing, I found that the infant won't be changed on the changing table with a tash can connected to it. I suspect this has some connection with the inability to drag objects to trash cans/sinks that popped up in the most recent update. This is really inconvenient as it makes changing babies so much more time-consuming if I have to cue my sim in to clean up the diapers strewn about the floor. I really hope a fix is implemented or at the very least someone puts a mod together that fixes this issue because it's affecting more than just the drag and drop feature.
