Infants won't sleep in crib when really tired

If my infants sleep bar is in the red, every single time they're put into the crib they're immediately taken out, no matter how many times I try to cancel the "Put Down" interaction or have the adult sim do other things instead, I eventually have to let my infant sleep on the floor until they're less tired, and then move to the crib.
