It’s raining inside my sims house.

I do have a roof on my house I’ve tried restarting the game, I’m tried to build a new home and it’s still raining inside. My sims are complaining about it and they keep “running inside” away from the storm when they are already inside!! What do I do to help! I’m playing off the grid so I need the weather!
