Large visual glitch

I was working on my very large build that I've been working on for about two months now and I got this very large glitch in the middle of my screen (visible in the attached files). I play on PC and the glitch persisted even after removing my mods and repairing my game files. I was getting some lag in my game before that, but I contribute that to the size of the build and the item count so I don't really think the two are related.

Unfortunately that was my best guess too... :( Thank you for all the effort!

Thanks for all of the files, really helpful!

I couldn't load the Lot in the save at all. My game crashed to desktop.

I saved the Tray files, started a brand new save and tried to place the Lot and again the game crashed. I tried placing from the map screen and on the empty Lot, Furnished and Unfurnshed but it just kept crashing.

I did manage to place the 10x10 "room" on my sim's Lot and didn't have any issues with it. I did notice that you've used a a massive amount of Starter Hedges shrunken down to create the gorgeous box hedging though.

    Round: 42x4 = 168
    Corner: 67x4 = 268
    Big rectangle: 92x4 = 368
    Small rectangle: 44x4 = 177

That's c. 981 hedge objects on a tiny 10x10 space and then the plants and trees on top.  Maybe the issues with the Lot is the sheer size of it and the amount of objects. It's a gorgeous build but maybe unplayable 😔

    1. It's a much later version of the Biltmore Build that's glitchy.
    2. I've never had TOOL installed
    3. ,4. and 5. I've sent you a link in a PM

    1. Is it the Biltmore Estate Shell from your Gallery? I downloaded it and placed on the same lot no problem if so:

    2. Have you used TOOL on or near that Lot?
    3. Can you save the Lot to your Library, not upload to the Gallery? If yes, after saving please open the Tray folder in the Sims 4 folder and sort by date modified. COPY all the most recent files with the exact same date and time, these will be the files needed for that Lot. Create a folder somewhere else, Desktop for example, and PASTE the files into the folder. Then zip the folder, upload to a file sharing site and PM me the link to download the files so I can test in my game.
    4. If you can't save to the Library please upload your save and PM me the link to download.
    5. Could you also redo the steps in no. 3 above but this time for the 10x10 room you're referring to.

I had a fairly resent gallery upload so I started rebuilding on that lot. The same glitch appeared again. It seems a copying of a 10x10 "room" of landscaping seems to trigger it.

I tried doing the same in an entirely new save, same thing happened, even though I used the gallery upload I described above upload. I'm getting a server error message when I try to upload the original glitchy lot.

The glitch doesn't disappear when I bulldoze the lot.

Edit: I copied a much smaller "room" of landscaping and it glitched again... :/

And I'm uploading another image as it doesn't seem to have uploaded in the original post.

  • HI KatRad94

is this something you see on that particular save only or also if you start a new one for testing purposes ? Does it go away if you bulldoze the lot ? (save under a new name first) ?
