Loyal sim getting tense for "having cheated" while he didn't

Hello all,

I see there are lots of romantic issues right now in the forums, and I am in the need to add mine :(

I am playing rotationally between several households, and I just switched to a family where the father has the Loyal trait. When I started playing, I noticed this sim had a tense moodlet because of being near his wife after having cheated on her. I found this pretty strange, so I checked his relationships, looking for another lover or partner, but found no one (moreover, all of his other acquaintances are family).

I don't know what actually went on, but according to the other posts, I suppose something about romantic relationships got altered with the last update.

what other post are you referring to ?

Did the father not have any romantic interactions or just not cheat ?

Could you also please add a thread tag for your platform for completion sake.

I've had this happen twice to me lately too, both Sims with the loyal trait. I checked their relationship panels (1 had no others aside their partner, the other had 1 but it was an old thing from high-school) and that Sim got "romantic boundaries discovered" from the Host from the restaurant he took his significant other to and they hate each other (screenshot provided for the second Sim)
EDIT: Forgot to mention I too play many Households rotationally, and both Sims had the moodlet when I returned to play them; the first Sim living with her partner, the second one shown below does not as he is going to college near Campus with his friend Taku - this is the sister of the other Sim that had the cheat moodlet.

Here you can see after I hugged his boyfriend, it triggered this Sim's boundaries even though they have no romance bar and there is no option to "break up" as they have no relationship to change
