Did you try the promotion cheats as well or just MCCC ?

Do you always work from home or did you send them to work on their own at some point ? If you haven't done that, try if that works.

I tried the promotion cheats as well but they didn't work either.
I sent my sim to work.

My Sim usually worked from home but I sent her to work and she still had the check mark for promotion and she came home no promotion again?
