Ferntella I've merged your post with the master bug report for this issue. One step you may have missed here is that you need to save your progress with the expansion removed before reenabling or reinstalling it. Otherwise, you're not changing the state of your main save at all.

Hello, thank you for the response! That link is the main one I referred to when trouble-shooting my save yesterday, that's what led to me trying to determine how to uninstall the pack, unfortunately none of the rest of the advice on there helped me either. I saved my game before downloading the expansion originally, and used the same save during my uninstalling/re-installing attempt, as well as recovered saves.
But when I get a chance later I am going to try deleting my saves from the EA file and replacing them with a slightly older backup save just in case.
Edit/Update: I used a slightly older back-up save just in case, and the issue is no longer there! Not sure what I did wrong with the other save, if anything, but all's well, I suppose! Thank you.
