After installing the new expansion as well as the latest updates and patches the new world for the Lovestruck expansion appears twice in the world selection screen. Both can be selected from the screen but only own of the two contains functioning lots. Game is still playable, but bug will not disappear despite repairing the game.

I have the same issue on PC....tried everything to fix it, no luck.
did you save the game under a new name with the pack removed ? That's usually the easiest fix.
In my save, the world that is duplicated is Britchester.
Recently bought The Sims 4 Love Struck expansion pack. The new world loads correctly in saves created after installing the pack, but in my long-term/older save file the world appears with no visible lots on the map and grey boxes over the apartment blocks.
I can select locations in the Love Struck world for planned dates and events, but I cannot access the world from the map view, move Sims there, or see any lots.
I play on PC. I do not use mods or custom content and never have. I deleted localthumbcache.package and repaired the game. Issue persists only in older saves but works in new saves.
This appears to be a save compatibility issue rather than an installation problem.
could you provide a pic of what you are seeing ?
I've seen today that after deleting localthumbcache.package I now have two ciudad Enamoradas. One that works and the original one from when I first downloaded the game, which shows this screen without any lots loading.
