Today I decided to have a party, and when I started inviting guests, I noticed that I have 4 Reapers. Deleting one leads to the generation of a new one.

There was an issue with the reaper event generating multiple.
Did you have them in the game awhile or were they newly generated ?
It seems to me that the reason for their generation is a new death career, but I'm not sure.

Yes, I participated. But I'm not sure how many reapers appeared after the event.
Since you're not opposed to mod/cc, can you try if you can delete the extra ones if you use MCCC to unhide hidden households ?
Would be good to know if they still keep duplicating if you get rid of the extra ones.
