Today I decided to have a party, and when I started inviting guests, I noticed that I have 4 Reapers. Deleting one leads to the generation of a new one.

Yes, I participated. But I'm not sure how many reapers appeared after the event.
Since you're not opposed to mod/cc, can you try if you can delete the extra ones if you use MCCC to unhide hidden households ?
Would be good to know if they still keep duplicating if you get rid of the extra ones.
I do not know how to remove the extra reapers, as there are none when revealing the invisible families. Even with the help of mccc.

You said when you delete them (with cheat I assume) a new one gets created. Is that true for all 4 reapers ? I was hoping that remove all of them in one go would prevent creating extra ones.

I tried to call the reapers through the mailbox and delete them through the developer's code and the shift button, but there was only "destroy the object", which I did. But when I called the reaper again through the mailbox, there were still 4 of them.
