My sims can't make friends.

No matter what interaction I choose, rather it be, friendly, funny, or mischievous the conversation goes nowhere. Even when both Sims are completely happy with full needs. It just keeps going down and turns into an unpleasant or offensive conversation. 

Why does it seem like everyday my game breaks more?!? I already can't do anything with the high school years pack that I spent almost almost 60 dollars on cause everything about the pack is broken, from prom, to graduation, to career day, to just sending my sims to high school, now it seems like everything else and other packs are breaking left and right.

EA please for the love of all things SIMS fix your game!!! Cause I didn't spend hundreds to $1,000 on these packs to not be enjoying playing the game anymore cause everything is broken.
