My sims get kidnapped by aliens every single night

Ever since I played with an Alien Sim, everybody gets kidnapped every night. Sometimes twice a month. I decided to play with a human in another house and it was fine until they became acquainted with the alien sim from my other household, and now, my human gets kidnapped every night.

I have to lock her doors at night to avoid her getting abducted. I can't cancel the action before it's too late. The only reason I have an issue with this is that they keep being afraid of the dark. Every time it's 6 pm in the game, my Sims are running around in fear and can't do normal things anymore. Even when I cheat out the fear and turn it off. 

I don't want to stop playing with Aliens, but I also don't want my Sims getting kidnapped every single night or sometimes multiple times a night!
