Nature's calling event not working

I've seen a lot of other people having issues with this event, but not specifically in the way I am. When I click on the event UI and then click on claim rewards, it says I need to be online to receive the rewards, but I am connected to the internet and I have no idea why it would say this. I've turned off my mods too, so I don't know what else to do.

I also had trouble with the Grim reaper event and a few other, so this is disappointing (to say the least) that these kind of events constantly don't work.

    Did you start the game in offline mode? I`m getting this error every time I start offline,because I did not update my game to the latest patch yet.I found an easy fix for this one,if game started offline.

     1.While in game ,go to EA app and click "Go online"                                                                                                           2.Go back in game and open the gallery,and click "connect" on that pop up saying connection is          required                                                                                                                                                                                               3.Go to event UI and you will be able to claim all rewards.           

    It works for me every time, the only thing fixing it is to first connect to gallery after going online before trying tio claim the rewards.
