Number of inputs not working

I am having issues with a number of usual controls for the game. 

1. Sound is not working in the same at all, but it is working on the computer generally and in other games
2. When in full screen mode, when minimised previously it would disappear from the screen and I could click on other applications and on my second screen. Now, it cannot be minimized properly (aka disappear) and I can click on applications on my other screen with out having to toggle out of Sims. 
3. The normal mouse controls aren't working to control the camera - I have it set up properly on the correct camera but it does not respond to any input from the mouse wheel, ie will not zoom in or out or rotate
4. I can no longer use the copy-paste function in the cheat bar. For example, if I copied a cheat from Google I used to be able to past it into the cheat bar,  now neither the copy or paste functions work. 


I have disabled mods and cleared the cache, restarted the computer, repaired the game and tried from trouble shooting advice for these issues individually.
