Parent sim keeps neglecting tasks because of infant

Both of my parent sims won't do the tasks that I give them, even though I've turned autonomy off. As soon as there is a crying infant, all of their given tasks disappear and they go look after their infant. My dad sim was at the point where he peed himself because he wasn't able to finish the task of going to the toilet. I literally gave him the task 3 times but everytime he stopped and went to the infant instead. Same with my mother sim. I give her the task to go to bed because she's at the point of passing out, but as soon as she goes to bed, she immediately stands up again and goes looking after her infant. 

It also happens during tasks that involve caring for the infant. For example, their first given task is to change their diaper and their second given task is breastfeeding them. What my sim will do instead: They go up to the infant and instead of changing their diaper, they will create their own task of bottle feeding them. Meanwhile my other parent sim has entered the room, neglecting all the tasks that I gave them, and wants to have the infant so they can change their diaper. This results in the infant being picked up and put down repeatedly.

Again, I've turned autonomy OFF. I can't tell how often my sims have peed themselves and passed out because of sleep deprivation. Needless to say, that my infants have never accomplished anything either because I can't manage to care for them properly like that.

I play on PC, my game is updated to the most current version available, which is 1.123.66.1030 DX11

There are no mods active in my game.
