Partnered Sims turn into siblings

Note: they were not siblings UNTIl they got married. Not sure if this is another issue

I’ve had this issue for some time and I sent my save to Simguru Nick a long time ago. I might still have the messages to prove it. It was years ago. I don’t know if he’s still around but that’s who I sent my save to. If you’d like, I can send it again. I have almost all my saves. So feel free to let me know what all you want. I had this issue for over 5 years and I always saved on, “save as”. So, I have saves of the affected family dating back to 2014. I’m talking back when we had no pictures showing up of the family when we went to load our saves. I have all of it. So please let me know what’s needed, if needed if you want my save(s). I can’t quite tell you if there’s a save of when the issue started though. It just showed up one day and all my previous saves of that family seem to all produce the issue despite that the error happened maybe 5-7 years after i created my family in 2014. 

Hey, kind of intercepting here. I don’t have businesses and hobbies. So, imma go out on a limb here and say that this issue is likely not related to a perk. If it is, then it would be an issue with all perks then because my sims aren’t a same sex couple and this glitch happened to them and they have 6 kids altogether who all have random perks. I also saw someone else say that it might be related to same sex couples…. But no, that’s not it either. I simply think it has something to do with the family tree system and how it recalls familial relationships. Remember there was a time when this game had no family tree at all. It was implemented into the game a year or so later. Some update that the Sims team did years ago caused this ish to get its signals crossed. I might’ve been one of the first few people that was affected by this issue the first go round when it first happened years ago. They released a patch years later to “fix” it for “new saves” only which is bs. I want my current game fixed not me being told… “Oh, you’re S.O.L so start a new save”. Fast forward, here it is years later and whatever the sims team allegedly did to allegedly stop this issue back then has now affected more people’s saves this time around with the glitch now surfacing to other players save games. I hate this for us but im relieved because maybe the sims team will take this seriously and fix our current save games. Now how it relates to CAS, that’s what’s needs to be figure out. They did all these updates that affect the family tree system in one way or another including adding in pronouns and the ability to select married or engaged in CAS. It’s all linked somehow. It could very well be something else, too. Something that triggers the issue to affect CAS which in turns affects the family tree. I just don’t know. 

This is happening in my save, my 2 female sims are married, had 2 kids together, and then all romance interactions disappear except for "offer massage"??

I also tried all of this the first time it happened. Gave up, started a new game after reinstal. Happened again. I highly doubt that any mod could be causing this because I don't think we all have the same mod.

It happened again...
I reinstalled the whole game, started with a brand new save, played okay for some time...and after I edited the toddler's hair, they are suddenly wifesisters again...I noticed because they were...less amorous than usually. I am so fed up with this game.

Just to follow up can confirm that my same-sex couple in my new save did not come out as sisters after editing their child's outfits in cas and this couple never had or did the skillful sleep perk while my borked save did. I want to say that, in my honest opinion, something about an update from june to november messed something with skilled sleep up because before my borked save got borked last month, I played that couple in june and used skilled sleep and there were no issues.

arassivad​ by any chance do you have the business and hobbies pack? and if you do, have either of your sims affected ever used the "skillful sleep" mastery skill perk? I've been doing some testing in a new save with a new same-sex couple and am trying to see if the earlier posters guidance on maybe skillful sleep being related to this bug holds true for this new save. I have tested going into CAS with this new save couple before they had a child and they did not come out as siblings and I tested going into cas and changing something on an infant child of another same-sex couple in this save and they also did not come out as siblings. Once I age up my new couple's daughter and then edit all her outfits in CAS I will update here if they come out as siblings. (None of these couples in this new save have the skillful sleep mastery perk btw)

I just ran into this issue in my game. I had a couple and one set of their parents living in the home with gen 3. Suddenly, the oldest dad was unconnected to the daughter and she and her wife were marked as siblings as well as married/soulmates. I tried saving and getting out thinking that would help as well as editing in CAS to remove the relationship, but the correct options were gone from the dropdown menu as well. I don't play with any mods, so I will send a copy of my save file in your messages, EA_Solaire​ .
