Ps5 Buttons Not Working in CAS

Whenever i use CAS, if i try to place a tattoo on my sim my controller buttons stop working. I can move with the stick but cannot exit that screen unless i close my game. I’ve restarted the console, deleted and redownloaded the game, and tried turning my controller off and back on but nothing works. This has been happening for months and nothing works to stop it or fix it.
