yes! I do have the secret spice perk. Thank you for mentioning that. 

That is the bug!!!

I just opened the game and had her make a baked good (quality excellent) and she was able to eat it. 

But then I added a Secret Spice (quality impeccable) and she was suddenly unable to eat it. So the bug is tied to the secret spice.
