There must be something the game recognizes as mod.

Best thing to do is to create a new user folder and just put a copy of your save back and see if they can leave early. They're probably still stuck at work even with mods removed. As said, that's a symptom of an error occurring but it's unclear if that was caused by mods or not.

The game doesn't recognize the game as modded if you just have them turned on.

First few are about a counter.

The last ones are probably from when you tried to leave work early.

Thanks, I'll try that. If that doesn't work, I'm guessing repairing the game?

Do you have different user folders for your other saves that do use mods ?

You can try moving them out and back in too. It's really hard to tell with this issue.

The big question is what caused it for you.

I've just moved the sims 4 folder to my downloads folder, then after dealing with the SDX and pack install notifications, moved the save I made when the error occurred into the newly generated saves folder.
The issue seems to resolve when the game is reloaded, as she isn't shown as away at work now.
If the issue recurs, I'll copy that Last Exception.
