My sim's final step was to use the Seance Table, which they are not able to use to finish the reaper event. The action does not appear when clicking the table and the objective has disappeared from the UI.
The sim can no longer repair objects — the interaction goes on forever without a green progress bar around it. I have repaired the game in the EA app and restarted, but the UI is still glitched and my sim still cannot repair objects. Handypersons also cannot repair objects. This includes the objects in the Residential Retail property, of which the sim is the owner. The game cannot be progressed in a meaningful way because they would have to replace objects with simoleons each time they break.
