I am having the same problems. I was not able to finish week 1 because the letter reading task did not complete. It also consumed the letter and I have not received any mail in any save since. I am frustrated that after the "update" that did not change anything at all for many players, there has still been no comment or mention of any work towards an actual fix. The only things I am seeing are people suggesting deleting files and doing all this manipulation on your own, and I am afraid I will lose my saves? I am no confident in my ability to delete/move files without error. I also feel like we should not have to do that ourselves to be able to play the event.
