If so, try removing accountDataDB.package, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If that doesn't help, please post in that master thread saying that deleting the file didn't work.
If it does help, and you're willing, please provide the file. You can upload it to a third-party filehosting site (e.g. Google Drive) and link it here.
Thank you, that fix worked for me! Just caught up fully on the event because I wanted to test it fully to make sure it worked for me and it did!
