Rental owner cannot inspect, maintain or fix breakable objects

I have been unable to maintain, fix or inspect objects in my owned rental property, not even during an event. I play on an HP and have no mods or cc’s. I have tried every work-a-round I can think of but nothing worked, not even changing households to my tenant an requesting the owner (me) to inspect or maintain something. I cannot do anything in that aspect even during events relating to the unit… only shared places like cleaning the alge out the pool.
