[RL] Dynasty - No inheritable for sims born outside the active household
Simply put, if you have a child that is born outside of the active household they do not gain the inheritable traits such as Mental Affinity. It seems that this is caused because the children born are not automatically added to the dynasty.
I tend to play solo, as I only play with full autonomy and I find sim behavior to be abhorrent when there are newborns and toddlers in the house. I will keep a wife in their own household (if my current sim is male) and will wait until my main sim is elder before looking at the Dynasty rank of the children and designating the highest ranked one as the heir. After going to edit town and moving the heir into the main household I have noticed that none of the children received the inheritable traits. I can, of course, add these manually, but I expect to see them being added without me having to use a mod to resolve the issue.
This issue also occurs with other family members as well. I will keep the other children in the dynasty in a separate household, and as they age I will give them wives/husbands. With the neighborhood stories turned on they might call to ask if they should have children. I tell them to so, since I don't want their branch in the family tree to simply end, and these children are also born without the inheritable traits.
I would like this to work as I do not enjoy playing large households (especially since I have finally decided to do the Legendary Legacy achievement which requires 100 generations or more). I play solo and on short lifespan to help speed this long process up. Without the game adding the traits automatically, I am forced to either go through each household and add it manually or play rotationally. A rotational play will slow my progress towards this achievement, so it's not really an option for me.
The traits work perfectly fine in my rotational play, so my assumption here is that since the game doesn't automatically add the infant that is born outside of the active household to the dynasty it doesn't add the trait either. A fix would be to add the infant to the dynasty automatically just like it does when you have the infant in the active household.
Again, I have tested this in my rotational legacy and it works (since it adds the newborn to the dynasty), but it doesn't work if I keep wives outside the active household and they give birth. All children born outside of the active household have to be invited to the dynasty. This needs to be changed so that they are automatically added in order to receive the inheritable traits.
